Beautiful stones and minerals 2025

The Edle Steine fair, dedicated to minerals, beautiful stones, jewelry and fossils, will take place on November 1st and 2nd in St. Ingbert in Saarland.

The Saarland town of St. Ingbert is once again inviting the public to the Edle Steine fair in the Stadthalle on Saturday, 1 and Sunday, 2 November 2025. The numerous exhibitors will introduce visitors and collectors to the glittering world of stones, from rare crystals to precious stones, all facets of goldsmithing and its creative potential, as well as minerals, fossils and meteorites.

In addition, young and old alike will have the opportunity to open geodes, polish opals, identify a precious stone, or participate in a geo-rally spiced with questions about the world of minerals, fossils, and beautiful stones. A special children's program will keep the little ones' eyes wide open and keep them occupied.

Another highlight of the St. Ingbert fair will be a special exhibition dedicated to prehistoric fish from different eras. In the Stadthalle conference hall, the public will be able to view fish fossils from renowned archaeological sites, such as Solnhofen in Bavaria and Monte Bolca in Italy. In addition, on both days of the fair, at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. respectively, an experienced fossil preparer will conduct a live preparation and explain how fossils are found, how they are extracted from stone, and provide numerous tips and information on this topic. Other rare finds not on display in the exhibition will be on display.

Visit of gemstone queen Vivian Heidrich to St. Ingbert
This year again, Vivian Heidrich, Germany's 24th Gemstone Queen, will be a special guest on Sunday, November 2. After her welcoming address, she will be available to sign autographs and answer questions about her honorary role in the care and conservation of the tangible cultural heritage of gemstones.

In the gourmet corner on the floor above the stairs, visitors can enjoy hot or cold snacks as well as delicious cakes.

As usual, the St. Ingbert Edle Steine Scholarship raffle, the proceeds of which will be donated to charity, will offer the opportunity to win sparkling prizes provided by exhibitors.

This fair is the ideal meeting place for budding or experienced collectors, specialist traders, jewelers and goldsmiths, and is aimed at all those who are passionate about precious stones. Families and children will be able to spend a very pleasant day punctuated by activities focused on the theme of precious stones and minerals of our planet, the opportunity to immerse themselves in this fascinating world for a few hours.
The Edle Steine gem, jewelry, and mineral fair will be open to the public from Saturday, November 1st to Sunday, November 2nd, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is accessible to the whole family and costs €3 per adult (€2 for concessions). Children under 15 are free.

At the same time, the popular Bliesgau Biosphere Reserve Market will be held in the town hall's dome. Local producers will offer a wide variety of their finest fresh and regional produce, showcasing sustainable, locally sourced agricultural production based on traditional know-how.

Shopkeepers in St. Ingbert's town centre will also be looking forward to welcoming the public on Open Sunday.
