Campo del Cielo - Collection 398

The campo del cielo meteorites are named after the Argentinian region of their discovery. Mostly made of iron, with traces of nickel and other elements, these meteorites have a silvery-gray hue and an irregular, bumpy surface, reflecting their journey through the Earth's atmosphere. They are estimated to have fallen to Earth around 4,000 to 5,000 years ago.
