Bull's Eye is a variety of microcrystalline quartz, more precisely a form of chalcedony. It is distinguished by its reddish to brownish coloring, obtained by the presence of inclusions of crocidolite, a variety of asbestos, which has undergone transformation by iron. This mineral is often used as an ornamental stone and is commonly cut into cabochons for jewelry making. It is also known as "bull's eye quartz" because of its distinctive appearance reminiscent of a bull's eye. bull's eye is mainly extracted in South Africa, Brazil, India and Australia.
