Peridot - Natural minerals and crystals

Peridot, also known as chrysolite, is an iron magnesium silicate mineral. Its name comes from the Greek "peridona", which means "abundance". It belongs to the group of nesosilicates. Peridot is generally green in color, ranging from a light yellow green to a dark olive green. Its color is due to the presence of iron in its crystal structure.
