Pyrophyllite - Natural minerals and crystals

Pyrophyllite is a mineral composed of aluminium, silicate and hydrogen tetraoxide. It is a clay mineral that forms by cooling on the walls of volcanic vents or fissures in metamorphic raw rocks and minerals">rocks. It is a very soft material that is very similar to illite and bentonite in terms of chemical composition and physical properties. Pyrophyllite is mainly used as a raw material in the manufacture of porcelain and high-performance ceramics. It is also used to produce mineralization and filtration products, as well as additives for paints and plasters. Due to its softness and resistance to compression, it is often used in the manufacture of industrial tools and moulds. Pyrophyllite has also been used to make fuel briquettes, abrasive discs, insulation products and fillers.
