Calcite is a mineral composed of calcium carbonate. It is one of the most abundant and widespread minerals on Earth. It is involved in the formation of caves and karsts, by dissolution in acidic waters. calcite is used in many industries: construction, agriculture, metallurgy and the manufacture of chemicals.
