Antimony - Natural minerals and crystals
Stibnite (or stibnite) is a mineral species composed of antimony sulfide with the ideal formula Sb2S3. Stibnite forms a series with bismuthinite. As a powder of Sb or various purified compounds, it has long been used in mascaras and can give a sparkling effect to fireworks. This mineral is found in hydrothermal veins across a wide range of temperatures. It is the main mineral of antimony, it is used in the manufacture of safety matches, fireworks and in the vulcanization of rubber.
