Niobium is a chemical element with atomic number 41 and symbol Nb. It is in a solid state at room temperature and has a relatively low density compared to other metals. It is used for the production of special steels resistant to corrosion and high temperatures. It is also used as an additive in steel alloys to improve hardness and corrosion resistance. It is also used in the manufacture of medical equipment, missiles and nuclear fuel. It is also used in the production of glasses, watches, jewelry and decorative items.
