Tellurium (symbol Te) is the chemical element with atomic number 52 and located in group 16 of the periodic table. It is a metallic solid that is rare in nature, but found naturally in several ores. tellurium is most stable in the solid state, and can be melted at a temperature of 449.5°C and vaporized at a temperature of 900°C.
